Makeover!

So I decided to give my blog a makeover. I'm still tweaking some minor changes but, yeah, this is so me.

I am looking forward to catching everyone up on what's been going on with me. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Mini Purse for a Mini Pin

A couple weeks back I was one of the lucky winners of a mini purse giveaway from my furriends Maggie and Mitch (and Francesca too!). It was a random drawing and I just happened to win a beautiful mini mauve purse. This was all in celebration of Francesca's Gotcha Day!

LOST DOG: Help Find Dora Jean

Hello Furriends! I'm asking for some help today. A new furriend of mine I met on Facebook is missing!! Her name is Dora Jean (pictured above) and her family is very heartbroken, as you can imagine. She is a longhaired, red dachshund with black cape on her shoulders, long blonde tummy and back leg hair. She is a 5 year old unaltered female, no collar, no chip, no tattoo at the time she went missing. She was last seen by her family on the afternoon of Sunday, January 16, 2011 when she was left out and chased a squirrel in the Henderson, Texas area.

Dora Jean's family have been looking for her ever since. They have even consulted with a professional tracker who has given some hope with Dora Jean possibly hanging around near a creek. There are feeding stations set up around the area she was last seen and there is evidence that the food has been eaten at two of the stations, unconfirmed at this time if it was Dora Jean. Please, if you are from or familiar with this area, please keep a look-out for any stray dogs that may look like Dora Jean. Also, keep your eyes peeled with any newspaper ads or flyers for stray dogs that might match Dora Jean's description. If you have any information about Dora Jean or think you may have spotted her, please contact Dora Jean's mommy Susan through her Facebook page (DORA JEAN’S FACEBOOK PAGE, her phone number (903) 889-2265 or her email: forrestdeva@netzero.com or you may pmail me, littlemissjadakiss@gmail.com, and I can relay any information/message to Susan. Please feel free to get the word out any way you can! Since I live in Pennsylvania, I am unable to physically help with trying to find her. This was the next best thing I could do! A few years back, my furriends and I used social networking (Myspace) to get the word out about my missing furriend Steeler who went missing while his family was visiting Texas. He was found and safely returned to his family! Let's help reunited this family and their precious furbaby!!

Black and Yellow

If you don't know already I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, so this past Saturday we had quite an intense game against the Baltimore Ravens. We didn't do too well in the first half, but something must have hit a cord with the team during the second half where we actually looked like the Pittsburgh Steelers!! Steelers ended up winning 31-24 to make it once again to the AFC Championship game. Bring on those JETS!!

Nice Christmas

I know I'm a little (okay, a lot!) late with my Christmas post. I had a very nice Christmas and was happy to spend it with my family. I got some nice things too from Santa Paws :)

Santa Paws Drive

I would like to take this opportunity to make all my followers and friends aware of the Santa Paws Drive. I started keeping up with them last year when a friend from Dogster had pointed them out to me and mommy.

What is the Santa Paws Drive you ask? Well, we celebrate the holidays with our families in our homes ... but what about the shelter dogs and cats that do not have families or a loving home? What do they do on Christmas? The thought is just so sad for me to think about but thanks to the Santa Paws Drive, those shelter animals get to have a very Merry Christmas too! As they explain on their website (link above), it's similar to Toys 4 Tots but for animals. You can donate treats, toys and/or money and it all goes to 6 selected shelters in the USA, Canada, UK and even Africa. They state that last year they were able to raise approximatetly $7,000.00 in donations including money, toys and treats. What a success!! This will be their second year in operation. The ultimate goal for this program is for adoptions but if that doesn't happen, at least all the doggies and kitties will have something to wake up to on Christmas morning :) Please note that I have also placed a widget on my blog, you can grab one too on their website to link to your blog or other social outlet. Trick-Or-Treat!

Last night was my town's Trick-Or-Treat night (for some reason they never ever have it on Halloween Day). I didn't break out the cow costume but used my back-up of a butterfly. It was my baby brother's first Trick-Or-Treat too, so being the pro that I am, I had to show him how it's done!


We only went to both sets of grandpawrents' houses but we had fun. If you (or human siblings) are going out, I hope you have a super fun and safe Trick-Or-Treat time!
