PetSmart HOWL-O-WEEN Photo Contest
The Fall season and HOWL-O-WEEN are one of my favorite times of the year! The weather is not too hot, not too cold, I get to chase leaves and of course football. Not that I really watch it but it means parties at the house (and that means food)! It's also almost time to go to the pumpkin patch. At our local country store, pets are allowed and I go with mommy to pick out my pumpkin. How about you and your family? Do you dress up? If so, I want to see your costumes! Do you and your family do anything fun or different to celebrate HOWL-O-WEEN or the Fall season? I would love to know!

Pedigree Adoption Drive: Blogs Helping Dogs
In your post, be sure to include the following bullets listed below as well as adding the direct link to your blog post to the Blog Hop below so we can all see how big an impact we are making! I saw the original story on DogTipper.com
* Each year, more than 4 million dogs end up in shelters and breed rescue organizations. Pedigree created The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive to help shine a spotlight on the plight of these homeless dogs. PAWS UP to Pedigree!!
* This year the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive is raising awareness for homeless dogs by donating a bowl of food to shelter dogs for everyone who becomes a "Fan" or "Likes" the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive on Facebook. So far more than 1 million bowls have been donated.
Be sure to pass this along to as many of your blogger furriends, animal or human, so we can all help out even more dogs. Also, if you have a Twitter, please tweet about this using by using the hashtag #dogsrule ... the key is to spread the word as much as you can!
And remember ... DOGS RULE!

Just wanted to say that I'm sorry I didn't get around to reading your blogs today. Things were a little hectic and this weekend doesn't look any less busy for us :( I will try to make time to get around to reading them sometime this weekend, but if not I'll catch up next week.
I did want to share an amazing picture my mommy took this morning with her cell phone. Things started off being a bad day for her until she was leaving for work and saw this ...
What a truly beautiful and amazing thing to see ... a rainbow! It made her think that things aren't so bad and put a big smile on her face. She got over her bad mood and thought of only the positive. Hope this does the same for you!

Are You Ready For Some Football?
Sunday is the big day with my team, the Pittsburgh Steelers' first game vs. the Atlanta Falcons. Hopefully we continue to do well (even without Big Ben who I don't think highly of anymore!) and be on our way to another Super Bowl Championship! Anyone else looking forward to some football?
GAME ON!

Goodies from Mommy!
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! We pretty much chillaxed at home ... Can you believe we had no picnics this year?!! Oh well, maybe next year.
On a serious note, we observe Labor Day and pray for our military and armed forces that have fought and currently fighting for our country. Thank you for our freedom!

In Memory of Keno
My mom had a special bond with Keno and was with him until his last breath all the while telling him how much he was loved. This video is dedicated to my Uncle Keno.

"... then i wouldn't be a puppy!"
an original poem by jada
if i didn't steal your socks
if i didn't chew the chair
if i didn't potty on the floor
if you didn't have a care,
... then i wouldn't be a puppy!
if i didn't make a mess
if i didn't cry in my crate
if i didn't play all night long
if i didn't have to eat everything that you ate,
... then i wouldn't be a puppy!
if i didn't give you kisses
if i didn't make you smile
if i didn't make you happy
laughing all the while,
... then i wouldn't be a puppy!
but ...
i do steal your socks, and chew the chair
i still potty on the floor and for me you do care
i do make messes and cry when left alone
i eat everything you eat and sometimes even a bone
i do give you puppy kisses and make you smile all day long
i do make you laugh even when i'm in the wrong
i do make you happy and together we are lucky
because i'm so glad to be your one and only puppy!

Not to be used without written permission from Jada and/or her mommy!
I did submit my poem and it was featured on the site The Pets Poet Club, but that was a long time ago ... but if you enjoy animals and poetry the site is very cute and definitely worth a look!
